Funded postdoctoral position in radical chemistry and organic synthetic chemistry at the Institut de Chimie Radicalaire in Marseille, France.

The CROPS team is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher for a 12-month appointment starting in September 2026. The project focuses on stereoselective iterative radical addition and the enantioselective synthesis of acyclic molecules bearing non-adjacent 1,3-carbon stereogenic centers. The research combines radical chemistry, Lewis acid activation, chiral Lewis acids, supramolecular activation strategies, and iterative synthetic methodology development.

The postdoctoral researcher will investigate the activation of stereoselective radical additions in the presence of Lewis acids and extend stereoselective radical mono-additions toward iterative radical additions. The post is described as part of the IRIS-CNRS funded project EXPLORE.

Eligibility highlights include a strong background in organic synthetic chemistry and a PhD in chemistry (organic, radical chemistry, catalysis, or related). Experience in homogeneous enantioselective catalysis is an advantage.
