About this position

The University of Cambridge's Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join a collaborative project in the labs of Jasper Poort and Mate Lengyel. The research focuses on the neural circuits and computational mechanisms underlying visual decision-making, learning, and attention. The project will utilize advanced techniques such as two-photon imaging, electrophysiology, and optogenetic manipulation to investigate different cell types and neural projections in visual and decision-making brain areas.

Applicants should have a PhD in neuroscience or a related discipline, with strong skills in data analysis (Matlab or Python) and computational modelling. Prior experience in electrophysiology, two-photon imaging, optogenetics, and behavioural neuroscience is highly desirable. The position offers the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment, engaging with both the Selective Vision Laboratory and the Computational Learning and Memory Group at the University of Cambridge.

For more information about the labs, visit the Selective Vision Laboratory and the Computational Learning and Memory Group pages. Further details about the position and application process can be found at the official job posting.

This is an excellent opportunity for postdoctoral researchers interested in visual neuroscience, computational neuroscience, and the study of neural circuits involved in learning and attention. The University of Cambridge provides a world-class research environment and access to cutting-edge facilities.
