Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), located in the Green City of Benguerir, Morocco, is a leading institution dedicated to research and innovation for Morocco and the African continent. The College of Computing at UM6P is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the group of Prof. Youssef Iraqi, focusing on wireless sensor networks (WSN) and the Internet of Things (IoT).
This postdoctoral position is part of the COLCOM project, which aims to advance the design and optimization of WSN-IoT systems by jointly considering communication and data fusion requirements. The research will address key performance metrics such as reliability, connectivity, throughput, delay, network lifetime, power efficiency, and security, with the goal of developing novel system, network, and signal designs for smart applications in transportation, agriculture, health, and more.
The successful candidate will conduct literature reviews, develop and analyze new communication designs, perform simulations (using MATLAB and Python), and disseminate results through peer-reviewed publications. Additional responsibilities include writing technical reports, assisting in the supervision of students, preparing research proposals, and collaborating with both local and international partners.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in communications engineering, computer science/engineering, or a related field, with a strong publication record and expertise in wireless communications, network optimization, and programming. Excellent English communication skills are required.
