Postdoctoral Position: Synthesis of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients by Mechanochemistry University of Montpellier in France

The University of Montpellier is offering a postdoctoral position focused on the synthesis of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) by mechanochemistry, with a particular emphasis on sustainable and scalable methodologies. The daily work will be conducted at ICGM in Montpellier, France, and will involve both laboratory-scale and large-scale synthesis. The project emphasizes improving the ecological footprint of pharmaceutical synthesis and advancing the field of mechanochemistry. The position is funded by Horizon Europe, offering a net monthly salary between €2,200 and €2,270 for a 6-month contract.

Applicants should hold a PhD in medicinal chemistry, preparative organic chemistry, or a closely related field, with strong skills in synthesis and analytical techniques such as NMR, HPLC, MS, and IR. Experience in green chemistry, mechanochemistry, ball-milling, RAM, extrusion technologies, and solid state characterization is advantageous but not mandatory.
