The Chaturvedi Lab at the University of California, Riverside is recruiting two Postdoctoral Scholars to work at the cutting edge of Computational & Systems Biology and Machine Learning for Biology. The lab's research vision centers on understanding how complex biological networks make decisions and how these can be reprogrammed for therapeutic impact. The interdisciplinary team integrates single-cell functional genomics, transcriptomics, synthetic biology, and computational modeling to study transcriptional dysregulation in disease and host–pathogen interactions.

Open positions include: (1) Postdoctoral Scholar in Computational Systems Biology, focusing on mechanistic and data-driven modeling of cellular decision-making, single-cell transcriptomics, functional genomics, gene regulatory network inference, and multimodal data integration; and (2) Postdoctoral Scholar in Machine Learning for Biology, emphasizing ML-driven modeling of cellular systems, digital twins, deep learning, representation learning, probabilistic modeling, and predictive modeling of cell states and dynamics.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Computational Biology, Systems Biology, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, or related fields, with strong experience in single-cell data analysis and a passion for interdisciplinary research and model building.
