Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Bioengineering for Human In Vitro Pancreas Models and Type 1 Diabetes University of Hull in United Kingdom

We are advertising a Postdoctoral Research Assistant (PDRA) in Bioengineering at the University of Hull / Hull York Medical School, in a multidisciplinary project funded by Breakthrough T1D.

The project aims to develop advanced human in vitro pancreas models to better understand type 1 diabetes and accelerate human-relevant disease modelling. The research sits at the interface of biomaterials, tissue engineering, 3D bioprinting, microfluidics, and potentially AI and broader biomedical sciences.

The team includes Amin Ardestani (Associate Professor / UK Senior Lecturer, University of Hull), Dr Amirpasha Moetazedian (University of Hull), and Dr Mo Lotfollahi (Wellcome Sanger Institute). The post is aimed at candidates with strong expertise in biomaterials, tissue engineering, and/or 3D bioprinting, and an interest in collaborative bioengineering research.
