The project is centered on environmental engineering, hydraulic/water resources, flood modeling, compound flooding, and sediment/contaminant transport in rivers, including work related to the Savannah River National Laboratory and extreme flooding events.

This is a full-time position with an advertised salary of 60000.00 and 15 months of supported funding beyond the start date. The role includes developing numerical algorithms, estimating particle trajectories under overland and riverine flood drivers, supervising graduate students, and publishing peer-reviewed journal articles.

Eligibility highlights: PhD in Engineering or a related field is required; preferred background is Environmental Engineering with a focus on hydraulic/water resources. Experience with coding, industry flood modeling software, transport models, and numerical modeling of floods and particle transport is preferred.
