Postdoctoral Research Fellow opportunity in Electron Microscopy and Electron Beam Science at Anhui Normal University in Wuhu, China, within the School of Smart Materials and Future Energy.

The position is for a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join a newly established research group led by Distinguished Chair Professor Mark Rümmeli. The lab is described as newly established, offering a chance to help shape both the instrumentation and the scientific direction of the facility.

Research areas and skills include scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), focused electron beam induced deposition (FEBID), electron beam science and techniques, materials characterisation, and nanofabrication techniques. Electrical and/or programming skills are especially welcome.

Funding and contract: two-year contract, renewable. Salary is listed as 180,000–400,000 RMB per year, depending on publication record. In addition, PhD holders may be eligible for the Wuhu city Ziyunying talent scheme, which may provide housing subsidies or a monthly living allowance, subject to eligibility confirmation.

Eligibility highlights: applicants should have strong hands-on experience in electron microscopy and/or electron beam techniques and be prepared to contribute to a new research environment with international collaborations in Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, and beyond.
