Postdoctoral Research Fellow position available at the McCance Center for Brain Health, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Harvard Medical School in the laboratory of Dr. Christiane Wrann at the Charlestown Research Campus.

The lab studies the molecular mechanisms behind the beneficial effects of exercise on the brain, with a focus on neurodegenerative and neuroinflammatory diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and multiple sclerosis. Research themes include exercise neuroscience, brain health, metabolism, secreted factors, neurogenesis, synaptic plasticity, and learning and memory.

Dr. Christiane Wrann is an Associate Professor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an affiliate of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute. Her lab uses genetic mouse models and advanced technologies such as RNA sequencing, high-resolution mass spectrometry, and molecular screening approaches to identify novel therapeutic targets for cognitive impairment and brain disease.
