A postdoctoral research fellow position is available at TUMCREATE, the Singapore Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise of the Technical University of Munich. The research focuses on developing a laboratory prototype for in-vitro diagnostics, specifically a mono-analyte sensor system with programmable sample positioning and an integrated microscope unit. The successful candidate will verify the technology and validate diagnostic tests during a clinical pilot study, collaborating with experts in cardiology, telemedicine, biomedical engineering, acoustics, and data protection.

The ideal applicant will have a PhD in mechanical engineering, with hands-on experience in prototyping medical devices, image analysis, and in-vitro diagnostics. Proficiency in English is essential for effective scientific communication and collaboration within an international team. The role also involves drafting scientific publications, contributing to project reports, and presenting research outcomes at international conferences and stakeholder meetings.

This is a fixed-term, 3-year contract with remuneration according to the position's conditions. The start date is flexible and to be agreed upon with the successful candidate.
