Centro de Física Teórica de Valparaíso (CeFiTeV), part of the Instituto de Física y Astronomía at the Universidad de Valparaíso, Chile, is inviting applications for postdoctoral research positions in theoretical physics.

The research themes include particle physics and gravitation/cosmology, with interests spanning gauge/gravity dualities, hadron physics, AdS/QCD, neutrino physics, beyond Standard Model phenomena, lepton number violation, lepton flavor violation, effective field theories, dark matter, perturbative quantum field theory, dark energy, General Relativity, modified gravity, computational cosmology, and numerical relativity.

These positions are linked to the government-funded Fondecyt Postdoctoral 2027 fellowship. The fellowship is expected to run for 2–3 years starting April 1, 2027, with a net salary of approximately USD 23,000/year after tax, plus around USD 3,000 for installation expenses and about USD 4,500/year in operating funds for travel, computational resources, and support staff.

Eligibility is restricted to applicants who earned their PhD between January 1, 2023 and June 30, 2026. For women who have given birth since 2023, the PhD eligibility window is extended back to January 1, 2022.
