About this position

University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG) is recruiting for a research group led by Dr. Hao Wu in the Department of Gastroenterology, Gastrointestinal Oncology and Endocrinology. The lab works on tumor immunology, immunometabolism, T cell biology, and the metabolic regulation of T cell responses in chronic infection and the tumor microenvironment, with a specific focus on pancreatic cancer and related translational questions.

Open positions include a Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m/d), a PhD position (f/m/d), and a Technical Assistant (f/m/d). The postdoctoral role is full-time and fixed-term for 2 years with possible extension up to 5 years. The PhD role is part-time (65%) for 3 years. The technical assistant role is part-time (19.25 hours/week) for 2 years with possible extension up to 5 years. All positions are based in Göttingen, Germany, and are embedded in the collaborative Göttingen Campus environment.

Technical assistant requirements: BTA/MTA/CTA training; molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and cell biology skills; strong organization; willingness to learn; good English and German.
