St. Anna Children's Cancer Research Institute (CCRI) in Vienna, Austria, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Cancer Genomics. This position is based in the Cresswell Group, a dynamic and multidisciplinary team focused on cancer evolution and pediatric oncology. As a postdoc, you will lead your own research project, contribute creative input to ongoing studies, and play a key role in mentoring junior team members. The group is committed to advancing the understanding of cancer in children and adolescents, with a strong emphasis on translational research that bridges cutting-edge science and clinical application.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to publish high-impact research, present at international conferences, and apply for fellowships and grants. Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant field (bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, molecular biology, cancer biology, or evolutionary biology) and have at least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal. Essential skills include strong programming abilities (R or Python), experience with bash, and a solid understanding of statistics. Experience with next generation sequencing, pipelines (NextFlow, Snakemake), and version control (GitHub) is advantageous. Excellent English communication skills are required; German is not necessary.
