Postdoctoral Researcher in Digital Platform Opinion Dynamics and Computational Social Science Weizenbaum-Institut für die vernetzte Gesellschaft in Germany

We are hiring a Postdoctoral Researcher for the #DigitalNewsDynamics research group at the Weizenbaum-Institut für die vernetzte Gesellschaft in Berlin, Germany.

This opportunity is centered on digital platform opinion dynamics, computational analysis of real-world platform data, platform governance, and related topics such as climate change and energy transformation. The role is part of the DIFIS-SOFO consortium together with ZeMKI and CAIS, and connects to the DSA40 Data Access Collaboratory and emerging platform data access infrastructures such as DSA Article 40.

The position is a fully funded postdoctoral appointment at 100% TVÖD E13 for 4.5 years, lasting until the end of 2030. The post offers access to cutting-edge platform data, computational methods development, and collaboration with leading scholars in platform research in an international, low-hierarchy, supportive environment.

Applicants should have experience in computational social science and/or digital trace data analysis, and should be interested in independently developing and leading research projects.
