Postdoctoral Researcher in Microbiology and High-Throughput Screening for Antimicrobial Resistance Umm Al-Qura University in Saudi Arabia

We are recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher for an S-NIH funded multidisciplinary drug discovery project focused on microbiology, antimicrobial resistance, and high-throughput screening. The role is centered on developing and executing HTS assays to identify and characterize novel antimicrobial agents, with particular interest in Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and/or Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

The work spans multiple leading research environments, including Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), KAIMRC-WR, and KAUST, offering access to state-of-the-art facilities and a highly collaborative ecosystem. This is a strong fit for candidates with a background in bacterial pathogenesis, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, biofilm models, and/or omics approaches.

Eligibility highlights: PhD in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline; demonstrated experience with MRSA and/or P. aeruginosa; hands-on expertise in HTS platforms, assay development, and data analysis; ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multi-institutional team.
