The Defect Engineering of Responsive Advanced Materials Team at the Institute of Molecular Science (ICMol), University of Valencia, is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher to lead the project “Self-assembly of Multivariate Modulated MOFs”. This is a full-time position for 1 year, with a planned start date of September 2026, based in Valencia, Spain.
The project sits at the intersection of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), self-assembly, defect engineering, photocatalysis, and advanced materials research. The successful candidate should have a PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline, together with hands-on experience in MOF synthesis and characterization. Strong experimental skills are expected, including PXRD, TGA, SEM, TEM, FTIR, NMR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Experience with advanced synchrotron-based methods such as SAXS, PDF, and EXAFS is highly desirable.
