About this position

CATLEC (Centre for Advanced Transport, Logistics and Economic Competitiveness) is inviting applications for four postdoctoral researcher positions in Chile. The call is aimed at researchers interested in applied research and interdisciplinary work across logistics, infrastructure, food supply chains, urban logistics, and transport systems for more livable and competitive cities.

The positions are organized around four research lines:

Research Line 1: logistics, infrastructure, decentralization, logistics and freight transport systems, infrastructure planning, supply chain analysis, optimization, simulation, predictive modeling, and sustainability analysis.

Research Line 2: food supply chains, logistics systems for food flow from origin to final consumer, life cycle assessment, optimization, simulation, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable/resilient food systems.

Research Line 3: smart urban logistics, urban mobility, last-mile delivery, urban logistics network design, freight/passenger transport interactions, routing, network analysis, and large-scale data analysis.

Research Line 4: transport systems for more livable and competitive cities, mobility behavior, walkability, public transport, modal integration, urban design, accessibility, and policy evaluation using advanced data sources.

Eligible applicants must have obtained their PhD within the last three years (between June 2023 and June 2026) in a related field such as operations research, transport, engineering, economics, logistics, industrial engineering, agrifood systems, applied mathematics, geography, urban planning, public policy, or related disciplines. The call emphasizes candidates with strong interest in interdisciplinary research and the ability to contribute to high-impact publications, analytical tools, models, and evidence for decision-making.

The position is full-time and provides a salary equivalent to the ANID postdoctoral fellowship, along with support for relocation and participation in international academic exchange activities.

To apply, candidates should submit a motivation letter indicating the research line(s) of interest, an updated CV, and two letters of recommendation. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview with the center’s team. Applications are accepted until Monday, May 18, 2026.

For inquiries, contact [email protected]. The application form is available via the Google Form link in the post.
