About this position

The BioMed X Institute, located near Paris, France, is seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist specializing in AI/ML engineering for a new research group at the Servier R&D campus in Paris-Saclay. This fully funded, three-year position focuses on developing an AI-empowered platform for the sterically guided design of bispecific antibodies, integrating advanced machine learning, structural biology, and computational modeling. The project aims to address key challenges in antibody engineering, such as steric hindrance, epitope accessibility, and spatial dynamics, to advance the systematic development of immune cell engagers and dual-targeting antibody–drug conjugates.

The successful candidate will design and implement AI/ML-based models that integrate structural biology, geometry, and spatial constraints. Responsibilities include developing robust ML pipelines, managing large and heterogeneous datasets, and collaborating closely with experimental scientists and industry partners. The role requires a PhD in AI/ML engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, computational biology, or a related field, with strong experience in machine learning, deep learning (e.g., PyTorch, Transformers, GNNs), and programming in Python or R. Familiarity with GPU clusters, cloud services, and collaborative code development is also essential.

The position is fully funded through a strategic partnership with Servier, offering access to state-of-the-art research infrastructure and a vibrant, international scientific community. The contract is initially for three years, with the possibility of a two-year extension. The BioMed X Institute provides a supportive environment for publishing and presenting at major conferences, and the role offers significant exposure to industry-relevant research and career development opportunities toward senior scientist or PI-track positions.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with a deadline of February 15, 2026. Interested candidates should apply via the BioMed X online application system, submitting a cover letter, CV, and references. For informal inquiries, contact [email protected] or [email protected]. The BioMed X Institute values diversity and is committed to equal opportunity employment.
