The Department of Economics at the University of Bologna is offering up to three pre-doctoral researcher positions in Climate and Transition Economics as part of the ERC-funded BELIEFS project, led by Professor Emanuele Campiglio. The research focuses on the role of expectations and beliefs in shaping the low-carbon transition, with an emphasis on behavioral macroeconomics, climate transitions, and the economics of sustainability.

Successful candidates will engage in advanced research activities, including data analysis, econometric work, surveys, and modelling, contributing to the understanding of climate-related economic transitions. The ideal applicants should hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field, possess strong quantitative skills, and have experience with analytical tools such as Stata, R, Python, or Julia. A demonstrated interest in climate economics and the low-carbon transition is essential.
