The National School of Nursing and Midwifery at The University of Notre Dame Australia is recruiting a permanent Level E Professor of Nursing and/or Midwifery. This is a senior academic leadership appointment within an established professorial cohort, with responsibility for both scholarship and strategic leadership.

The successful candidate will also take on the role of National Deputy Head of School (Sydney), working closely with the Dean and National Head of School to deliver and embed national strategic priorities, strengthen academic and research quality, support workforce strategy, and advance school-wide leadership initiatives.

In addition, the role serves as the campus academic lead in NSW, supporting staff, strengthening academic culture and quality, and leading local implementation of national priorities. The position also includes stewardship of NSW-based industry engagement to deepen partnerships, collaboration, and impact across the profession and wider community.
