Alagappa University, Department of Biotechnology, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, is inviting applications for a Project Assistant (PA) position under the Chief Minister’s Research Grant (CMRG), Government of Tamil Nadu.

The project is titled “Next-Gen Ophthalmic Antibacterials: Translational Development of Endolysin-Loaded Liposomes for Keratitis Therapy”, and the work sits at the intersection of biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, proteomics, and translational therapeutic development. The research focus includes next-generation antimicrobial therapeutics, ophthalmic antibacterials, and liposome-based delivery approaches for keratitis therapy.

Eligibility requires a First Class M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or an equivalent qualification. Candidates with hands-on experience in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and proteomic techniques will be preferred.

The fellowship is ₹25,000 per month (consolidated) for 3 years. The announcement also notes that Ph.D. registration will be encouraged for the selected candidate. No TA/DA will be provided.
