About this position

The University of Graz invites applications for a Research Assistant (m/f/d) without a doctorate in the Department of Psychology. This position is part of the research project 'Associations and Dissociations of Dyslexia and Dyscalculia: Cognitive Mechanisms Underlying the Comorbidity of Learning Disorders.' The successful candidate will participate in independent planning and evaluation of scientific investigations, coordinate and implement data collections in primary schools, and contribute to publication activities related to the project. There is also an opportunity to pursue a doctoral thesis within the scope of the position.

The role requires a completed diploma or master’s degree in psychology or related disciplines such as educational science. Candidates must demonstrate excellent knowledge of written and spoken German and English, as well as research experience in cognitive development and the cognitive foundations of learning disorders. Skills in statistical analyses of large data sets, including structural equation modeling and regression models, are essential. The position is ideal for those who enjoy scientific work, working with children and schools, and who possess an independent working style, high initiative, and strong team and organizational skills.

The University of Graz offers an annual gross salary of at least €52,865.40 for a full-time position, with the possibility of overpayment based on qualifications and experience. The contract is temporary for three years, with employment starting on 2026-06-01.
