Research Associate in Psychiatry or Psychology for Biopsychosocial Study of Religious Delusions and Conspiracy Beliefs University of Cambridge in United Kingdom

The Faculty of Divinity at the University of Cambridge is recruiting a Research Associate in Psychiatry or Psychology for an interdisciplinary, UKRI-funded project titled Exploring the Grey Zone: A Biopsychosocial Approach to Religious Delusions and Conspiracy Beliefs.

This is a fixed-term post for 21 months due to limited funding, with an expected start date of 1 October 2026. The role sits within an interdisciplinary team led by Professor Joseph Webster.

Applicants should be educated to degree level and must hold a PhD in Psychiatry, Neuroscience, or Psychology. The post also requires a research specialism in Psychiatry or Psychology, especially with a focus on psychosis, delusional ideation, or conspiracist ideation.

The closing date is midnight (BST) on Monday 15 June 2026. Interviews are planned for late July 2026, subject to change.
