The Disparities Research Exploring Addiction Mechanisms (DREAM) Lab at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Hollings Cancer Center is hiring a full-time Research Program Coordinator I to support NIH- and Foundation-funded studies on tobacco-related health disparities.

This is a research staff opportunity in a highly collaborative lab led by Mariel Bello, Ph.D., Assistant Professor and Director of the DREAM Lab. The role offers hands-on experience across multiple research approaches, including qualitative research, cross-sectional and longitudinal cohort studies, human laboratory paradigms, and remote clinical trials.

The lab’s research focuses on identifying which populations are at higher risk for tobacco use and addiction across the lifespan, understanding the mechanisms behind tobacco use in high-risk groups, and evaluating lower-risk nicotine products and other strategies for smoking cessation and harm reduction.
