I wanted to share a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in robotics, control systems, and multi-robot coordination. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina A&T State University is currently inviting applications for several Ph.D. positions in the field of Coordination and Control of Mobile Multi-Robot Systems.
?? Research Focus:
The project aims to develop algorithms for motion coordination of fleets of mobile robots in confined spaces. Applications include autonomous traffic management, urban aerial mobility, and warehouse automation. The research combines theoretical, computational, and experimental methods, with real-world validation using both aerial and ground robots.
?? What’s Needed: The positions are open to students from fields like control systems, computer science, engineering, and applied mathematics. Ideal candidates should have:
Strong background in control theory, discrete mathematics, algorithms, transportation, and programming.
A B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proficiency in MATLAB/SIMULINK, programming, and experience with embedded systems.
