Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and imec are hiring a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher / Research Manager for ETRO VUB in Brussels, Belgium.

This is a senior, long-term research role in an AI-focused environment linked to the ERC Consolidator Grant IONIAN and national projects. The position combines research with project coordination, proposal development, team support, and outreach.

Research areas include artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, cooperative ground and aerial vehicles, intelligent sensing, and healthcare AI. The role is especially relevant for candidates with strong research maturity and experience in managing research activities.

Eligibility highlights: a PhD is required; strong experience in project coordination and funding acquisition is expected; excellent English communication skills are required. Experience with proposal writing, mentoring, Dutch/French, and strategic research development is a plus.
