Required Related Experience N/A Required License/Registration/Certification n/a Physical Requirements n/a Shift n/a Job Summary The University of Kentucky, College of Health Sciences, Sports Medicine Research Institute (SMRI) is seekinga motivated individual with training in sports-related musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation. The successful candidate will work on research projects to investigate the interplay between musculoskeletal injuries, biomechanics, joint cartilage, and biofeedback intervention techniques. The position will participate in laboratory data capture, analyses, and dissemination for ongoing research projects within the SMRI or at off-site testing locations. A successful candidate must also posses the ability to pursue independent research projects and apply for extramural funding to support their efforts in a research area parallel to the mission of SMRI. Applicants with experience providing research mentorship to graduate and undergraduate researchers will be given preference. The selected individual will be supported through strong mentorship, grant writing opportunities, and presentation at relevant scientific conferences with networking opportunities. Applicants who are ABD with the intention of graduating in the Spring of 2025 semester will be considered. Eligible applicants should be highly motivated and able to work in a collaborative environment. The applicant will be expected to be involved in several research projects and contribute to the writing of grant applications and publications. This position will be a 12-month appointment with option to renew contingent upon review and grant funding.
