The Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology Group at Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), led by Professor Seodong Shin, is seeking a postdoctoral research associate specializing in high-energy physics phenomenology, with a particular emphasis on dark matter and astroparticle physics. The group is actively engaged in research on fundamental particles and symmetries, focusing on new physics beyond the Standard Model, including dark matter, neutrino physics, and collider phenomenology. Research activities bridge theory, cosmology, and experiment, with ongoing participation in major experiments such as the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) and DArk Messenger Searches at an Accelerator (DAMSA). The group benefits from multiple research grants, including support from the National Research Foundation, and maintains close collaborations with the Center for Theoretical Physics of the Universe at the Institute for Basic Science (IBS). Regular interaction with IBS members and faculty from JBNU’s Laboratory for Symmetry and Structure of the Universe (LSSU) is encouraged, including collaboration with Professors Seong Youl Choi, Wan-Il Park, and Chang Sub Shin. The initial appointment is for two years, with the possibility of a one-year extension based on performance and funding. The expected start date is September 1, 2026, but is negotiable.
