This project explores the historical exploitation of non-human actors in silk production (17th-19th centuries) and its impact on art, architecture, and material heritage. We seek a PhD researcher interested in environmental and more-than-human perspectives in heritage studies—someone eager to challenge traditional narratives and investigate the material realities behind silk-related heritage.
