Paderborn University’s Institute for Photonic Quantum Systems (PhoQS) invites applications for up to 10 fully funded PhD Research Assistant positions in the interdisciplinary field of photonic quantum systems. These positions are ideal for candidates with backgrounds in experimental and theoretical physics, electrical engineering, computer science, or mathematics, and a strong interest in quantum technology and photonics. The roles are structured as scientific staff positions (75%-100% FTE) for three years, with the possibility of extension within legal limits. Successful candidates will engage in cutting-edge research on photonic quantum systems, contribute to teaching (3-4 hours per week), and complete a doctoral thesis in their chosen discipline.
