ACPPS – Postdoctoral Position in Contemporary Philosophy of Science

The ACPPS-UM6P Research Center at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Morocco is offering a one-year renewable postdoctoral position in contemporary philosophy of science, starting October 2025. The university is internationally oriented and committed to high standards of teaching and research, with a focus on areas relevant to Morocco and Africa's economic development. The campus, located in Ben Guerir near Marrakech, provides state-of-the-art facilities and a vibrant academic environment. The postdoctoral researcher will be co-supervised by Professor Ali Benmakhlouf, an expert in the philosophy of ethics and logic, and Professor Abdelouahab Rgoud, a specialist in the philosophy and epistemology of mathematics and physical sciences. The research project may focus on fields such as philosophy/epistemology of contemporary physics, mathematics, logic, philosophy of artificial intelligence, or ethics. The ACPPS Center hosts a dynamic group of over ten researchers working on Arabic classical philosophy and philosophy of sciences. The position is fully funded, with a monthly salary of approximately 20,000 dirhams (about 2,000 euros). The program includes opportunities for teaching assistantship, which is valuable for building an academic CV. Advanced postdocs may receive additional support for teaching or consulting work. Accommodation and public facilities are available for doctoral students on campus. Applicants must hold a PhD degree. Successful candidates should demonstrate research ability, publication in international journals, and ideally professional experience related to collective intelligence. Application materials required are a full CV, motivation letter (1 page), sample of academic writing (up to 30 pages), research statement (1–2 pages), two letters of recommendation, and full academic transcripts. Preselected candidates will be contacted for interviews. To apply, use the provided application link. The deadline is unspecified, so early submission is recommended. This opportunity is ideal for researchers interested in contemporary philosophy of science, epistemology, ethics, logic, and related fields, seeking to join a collaborative and international academic environment in Morocco.
