Junior Research Fellow positions in Electrocatalysis and Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy sensing at JAIN University

JAIN (Deemed-to-be) University, Bengaluru, is inviting applications for two Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions in the Centre for Nano and Material Sciences (CNMS). The research topics are Electrocatalysis and Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) sensing , with project themes including modulating surface atomic coordination through facet engineering in anisotropic electrocatalysts for water splitting and engineering shape-dependent nanostructures for sustainable remediation of emerging pollutants . Applicants should have a strong background in chemistry , materials science , electrochemistry , nanomaterials , and related energy/materials research. Preference is given to candidates with M.Sc. in Chemistry or Material Science with at least 60% marks , and to those who have qualified CSIR-UGC NET (JRF/LS) or GATE . Hands-on experience in nanomaterials will be an advantage. The position is supervised/announced by Prof. Akshaya K. Samal at JAIN University . The JRF will receive a stipend as per norms and qualifications, and the appointment terms are aligned with current rules for Ph.D. students. The initial appointment is for one year and may be extended up to three years based on performance, with the broader objective of supporting a Doctoral (Ph.D.) position at JAIN University. To apply, candidates should send a brief CV or detailed resume, research interests, research experience, contact details, and photocopies of educational/professional qualifications by email. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview, and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Outstation candidates may attend via Zoom. Contact email: [email protected]
