Postdoctoral Fellowship in Plant Genomics, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at CPA Citros

Postdoctoral fellowship opportunity in Plant Genomics, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at CPA Citros , supported by FAPESP . The project focuses on bioinformatics applied to the citrus–Liberibacter interaction associated with Huanglongbing (HLB/greening) . Research activities include genome assembly of citrus species, multi-omics data integration , and complementary analyses of gene families , transposons , small RNAs , and microbiomes . The fellowship is linked to work at University of São Paulo (ESALQ-USP) and São Paulo State University (UNESP) , with activities conducted at UNESP’s computational center. The post is supervised by Luis Eduardo Aranha Camargo and Alessandro Varani . Funding: FAPESP postdoctoral scholarship with a stipend of R$ 12,570.00 . One position is available. Eligibility highlights: PhD obtained within the last 7 years in Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, Agronomy, or related fields; proven bioinformatics experience with genome and/or transcriptome analysis; familiarity with Linux, command line, and computational pipelines; and experience in areas such as genome assembly, gene annotation, TE annotation, comparative genomics, RNA-seq, phylogenomics, gene family analysis, or functional analyses. Preferred profile: ability to document analyses, prepare technical reports, contribute to English scientific writing, and use R, Python, Perl, Bash, or similar languages. Prior experience with plant genomes, PacBio HiFi, Oxford Nanopore, Hi-C, pangenomes, or plant genome evolution is a plus. Application deadline: 2026-07-15. Applicants should email the requested documents to [email protected] with the subject PD-CitrusGenomics .
