Princeton University’s High Meadows Environmental Institute (HMEI) is accepting applications for a postdoctoral research position focused on ocean biodiversity and environmental storytelling . This interdisciplinary opportunity sits at the intersection of ocean science , environmental humanities , environmental studies , environmental media , and science communication . The project examines kelp forest ecosystems and coastal livelihoods in South Africa , with special attention to the ecological and social dynamics surrounding South African abalone (Haliotis midae) and West Coast rock lobster (Jasus lalandii) . The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to a collaborative research project and is expected to work across ecological and social dimensions of marine conservation and storytelling. The post is hosted at Princeton University in the High Meadows Environmental Institute .
