Fully Funded PhD in Mechanical Engineering: CFD, Green Hydrogen, Underwater Robotics, VAWT, and IKS at Pandit Deendayal Energy University
Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) is recruiting 4 fully funded, full-time PhD students in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
The openings are especially suitable for candidates interested in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), fluid mechanics, numerical simulation, and high-performance scientific computing. The advertised research domains include Green Hydrogen (CFD modeling for generation processes), Underwater Robotics (CFD modeling and hydrodynamic performance analysis), Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (aerodynamic design and optimization), and Indian Knowledge System (technical validation and engineering analysis of traditional structures).
This is a direct-to-PhD opportunity and the post specifically encourages highly motivated B.Tech/B.E. graduates with at least 75% marks to apply. The poster also notes that applicants do not need to be experts initially, but should have a strong foundation in fluid mechanics and basic programming logic. Training will be provided in advanced tools and methods such as FVM, LBM, IBM, C++, Julia, Python, and CUDA-based scientific computing.
Funding is available through monthly fellowships: ₹40,000 (JRF), ₹37,000 (GATE), ₹35,000 (NET/SET), and ₹20,000 (Institute Fellowship). The deadline has been extended to 17 May 2026.
Interested candidates should submit a CV and a concise statement of research interests via the registration link provided in the post.
