Assistant and Associate Professorships in Marketing, Digitalisation, and Organisation

Aarhus University’s Department of Business Development and Technology (BTECH) at Aarhus BSS is inviting applications for assistant professorships and associate professorships in marketing, digitalisation, and organisation . The positions are based in Herning, Denmark, and are part of the AIROD research section. The department emphasizes high-quality research and teaching that is relevant to business and society, with a strong preference for candidates whose research connects to modern companies and industry collaboration. Research areas include marketing management, digital marketing, digital business development, digital technologies in organisations, digital transformation, digital governance, organisation, organisational communication, and strategy. Assistant professor : a three-year full-time fixed-term position. Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant field and have research published in peer-reviewed international journals or close to publication. Teaching and supervision at bachelor’s and master’s levels are expected. Associate professor : a full-time permanent position. Applicants must hold a PhD, have a strong academic background, at least three articles published or accepted in high-standard international peer-reviewed journals, substantial post-PhD publications, significant teaching experience, and experience with research collaboration and knowledge dissemination. Teaching and supervision at all levels, including PhD students, are expected. For associate professor appointments, non-Danish speakers must acquire working knowledge of Danish within the first three years of employment. The department also expects a willingness to engage in external research funding activities and to contribute to a vibrant academic environment.
