Computational/Bioinformatics Postdoc in Multi-omics, Single-cell and Spatial Transcriptomics at KAUST

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is advertising a Computational/Bioinformatics Postdoc in the Stem Cell and Disease Laboratory (STEMD) led by Prof. Antonio Adamo in the BMS division. The project focuses on multi-omics analysis and integration to study human disease mechanisms and improve patient stratification. The postdoc will work with bulk RNA-seq , single-cell RNA-seq , spatial transcriptomics , ChIP-seq , and ATAC-seq , and will help develop scalable, reproducible pipelines for high-performance computing environments. Key research interests include transcriptional regulation, epigenetic landscapes, cellular heterogeneity, longitudinal single-cell data, and clinical outcome integration. The role also mentions applying advanced computational methods, machine learning, and AI to identify patient-specific molecular signatures and support precision stratification. Eligibility highlights include a PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, or a related field , strong NGS/omics analysis experience, proficiency in Python , R/Bioconductor , Unix-based systems, and workflow tools such as Nextflow or Snakemake . Experience with Seurat , Scanpy , Docker/Singularity, and spatial cell-cell interaction analysis is also requested. The post states that salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Interested candidates should email their CV directly to [email protected] . No deadline is provided in the post.
