Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in Nanobioelectronics and Biosensors

ICN2 (Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia) in Barcelona, Spain is recruiting a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in Nanobioelectronics and Biosensors . The position is based in the Nanobioelectronics and Biosensors group led by Prof. Arben Merkoçi , a team internationally recognized for point-of-care nanobiosensors and related diagnostic technologies. The project focuses on developing next-generation nanobiosensors and lateral flow assays (LFA) for biological threat detection and biosafety applications, in collaboration with European research partners. The role includes supervising 2 PhD students , presenting results to consortium members, contributing to project management, and participating in broader academic group activities. Eligibility highlights: applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry ; a master's in Nanotechnology is preferred. Prior experience in biosensor development , especially lateral flow assays and immunosensors , is required. Profiles with experience in both academia and industry are especially valued. The ideal candidate should demonstrate research excellence, independence, leadership in research projects, and the ability to collaborate effectively with international partners. Funding and conditions: this is a full-time postdoctoral contract funded by the European Union through an European Defence Fund project (GA-101254210). The contract is temporary until 31/03/2029 .
