Doctoral Researcher in Economics (Sports Economics and Data Analytics)
The University of Luxembourg invites applications for a Doctoral Researcher in Economics, focusing on Sports Economics and Data Analytics. The position includes teaching responsibilities (one to three hours per week) in small group settings and tutorials. Applicants must hold a Master Degree in Economics or Econometrics (equivalent to a Research Master) with honors or higher, possess methodological skills and quantitative research experience, and demonstrate strong interest in performance data analysis and matching markets. Enthusiasm for research, critical thinking, and ideally some publishing experience are preferred. Strong verbal communication and academic writing skills in English are required, with at least B2-level proficiency in the thesis language. The position is a fixed-term contract for 36 months, full-time (40 hours/week), with a yearly gross salary of EUR 43445.
