Postdoctoral Opportunity in Hybrid and Low-Dimensional Materials at Adam Mickiewicz University (Ulam NAWA Programme)

The Hybrid Materials Laboratory, led by Professor Artur Ciesielski at the Center for Advanced Technologies, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland, invites international postdoctoral researchers to apply for the NAWA Ulam Programme. This opportunity is ideal for scientists interested in hybrid and low-dimensional materials, including COFs, MXenes, MOFs, and functional organic materials. Research in the lab spans applications in energy storage, electrochemistry, sensing, and advanced devices, making it a vibrant environment for interdisciplinary collaboration. The Ulam NAWA Programme aims to increase the internationalisation of Polish research institutions by enabling outstanding researchers from abroad to conduct research in Poland for periods ranging from 6 to 24 months. The programme is open to scientists from all fields who hold at least a doctoral degree. Polish scientists working permanently abroad are also eligible (up to 10% of fellows). There are no age restrictions, and the programme encourages applicants to collaborate with the host institution to define a research plan. Selected fellows will benefit from excellent research infrastructure, strong international collaborations, and full support in proposal preparation. The programme provides competitive funding, including a monthly stipend of PLN 11,500 and a one-off mobility allowance. Activities during the fellowship may include conducting research, postdoctoral training, obtaining materials for scientific work or publication, and teaching at the host institution. The next call for the Ulam Programme opens in February 2026. Prospective applicants are encouraged to start preparing their proposals and reach out to the Hybrid Materials Lab to discuss potential research projects. For more information, visit the official NAWA website or the Hybrid Materials Lab's LinkedIn page.
