The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for a full-time position in the School of Population Health, based in Dublin. This role is part of a Dublin North East Inner City (DNEIC) Task force funded partnership, focusing on delivering a comprehensive Population Health Needs Assessment (PHNA) for the DNEIC population. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team, including another postdoctoral researcher and a research assistant, to address significant health and socio-economic challenges in the area, such as deprivation, health inequalities, and barriers to healthcare access. The project involves six work packages, including coalition building, evidence synthesis, gap analysis, data-lake creation, multilevel modelling, and knowledge translation. Duties include working closely with the PI and research team, preparing ethics applications and study protocols, conducting evidence synthesis and gap analysis, implementing secure data management plans, performing multilevel modelling analyses, coordinating daily project activities, developing final reports with recommendations, disseminating research findings, supervising students and staff, and assisting with grant applications. Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant discipline and strong quantitative, analytical, and modelling skills, with experience in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, and health services research. Desirable skills include advanced proficiency in Stata or R, machine learning, artificial intelligence, literature review, stakeholder data collection, and project management.
