Postdoctoral Research Associate in Experimental Fluid Dynamics and Cardiovascular Biomechanics

Vlachos Research Group at Purdue University is recruiting a postdoctoral research associate in experimental fluid dynamics and cardiovascular biomechanics . The project focuses on interdisciplinary studies of cardiovascular flow and tissue deformation using optical diagnostics and medical imaging . The group highlights work in experimental fluid mechanics, optical flow diagnostics, particle image velocimetry (PIV), digital image correlation (DIC), image and signal processing, MATLAB, Python, and scientific computing. Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as Codex or similar platforms is a plus. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline. Strong communication skills and a strong publication record are preferred. Candidates must be eligible to obtain the legal right to work in the United States before the position starts.
