Permanent Senior Research Scientist in Post-Quantum Cryptography at Simula UiB

Simula UiB in Bergen, Norway is hiring a permanent (Senior) Research Scientist in post-quantum cryptography . The role sits in the Department of Cryptography, which works on the design and analysis of cryptographic algorithms, side-channel analysis, privacy-enhancing technologies, and related applied cryptography topics. The successful candidate will join a collaborative research environment alongside Martijn Stam , Håvard Raddum , Morten Øygarden , PhD students, and postdoctoral researchers. Simula UiB also hosts the Centre for Quantum Communication Networks and Applications (QCNA) , a national quantum technology centre with quantum cyber security as a core theme. This opportunity is aimed at experienced researchers with a PhD in cryptography, computer science, applied mathematics, or a related field. Strong publication record, expertise in post-quantum cryptographic schemes, and experience in research supervision and project leadership are important. Experience with cryptographic engineering, implementation security, side-channel analysis, and securing external research funding is highly desirable.
