The successful candidate will help evaluate the production process, support sustainable-by-design manufacturing redesign, and develop novel pathways for using biomaterial scraps and off-cuts. The work includes materials characterisation , analysis of biomaterial functional properties, surface antibacterial testing, and data interpretation to identify trends and causality in property-function relationships. Applicants should hold a PhD in materials science and have experience in materials processing, reprocessing, and characterisation. Strong communication and presentation skills are important, along with the ability to produce clear reports for both academic and industry partners. Experience with biomaterials, industrial manufacturing, antibacterial testing, and international standard testing methods is desirable.
