Western Sydney University professor Corrinne Sullivan is advertising one to two PhD scholarship opportunities on an ARC-funded project titled “Indigenous/Pasifika LGBTIQ+ wellbeing & the role of rights-based practices in Australia and Aotearoa” . The project is centered on queer Indigenous/Pasifika intersectional experiences , perspectives, practices, and understandings of wellbeing across complex environments within diaspora communities in Australia and/or Aotearoa . Suggested research directions include belonging and connection, culture and queer identities, health, wellbeing and healing, communities in the diaspora, movement/displacement/migration, creative and artistic expression, community and kinship, environmental and place-based wellbeing, human rights, religion, and education. The opportunity is especially aimed at Indigenous/Pasifika peoples from across Oceania , and the scholarships are open only to domestic students (Australian and New Zealand citizens only).
