A postdoctoral position is available at the Center for Research and Innovation on Smart and Quantum Materials (CRISQuaM), hosted by the Gleb Wataghin Institute of Physics (IFGW) at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team working on the synthesis and characterization of hybrid nanoparticles for applications in magnetic hyperthermia. The research will be conducted under the coordination of Prof. Daniel Ugarte and co-Principal Investigator Prof. Diego Muraca, within a FAPESP-supported Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center (RIDC). The project focuses on developing advanced nanomaterials, requiring expertise in nanoparticle synthesis using various chemical routes and proficiency in laboratory characterization techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), dynamic light scattering (DLS), magnetometry (VSM, SQUID), electron microscopy (TEM, SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and inductively coupled plasma techniques (ICP-OES/MS). Familiarity with synchrotron-based methods (XAS, SAXS, XRD) is highly desirable. Candidates should have a strong background in nanomaterials chemistry and physics, demonstrate independence in research, and possess excellent communication skills in English. The fellowship offers a monthly stipend of R$ 12,570.00 and a research contingency fund (10% of the annual value) for research-related expenses. The position is open to applicants of any nationality, with the application deadline set for October 30, 2025. For further details and to apply, candidates should contact Prof. Diego Muraca and consult the official opportunity page.
