PhD Internship in Qualitative Analysis of Co-produced Environmental Health Reports at Imperial College London

Imperial College London’s Environmental Research Group is offering a PhD internship through the London Interdisciplinary Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership (LISS DTP) on “A Qualitative Analysis of the Development Process, Challenges, and Opportunities in Co-producing Environmental Health Reports.” The project is supervised by Diana Varaden and is based within the WellHome research team. It focuses on how environmental health findings can be communicated in ways that are scientifically robust, meaningful, and accessible to communities. The work is closely tied to qualitative research , community engagement , co-production , environmental and public health , science communication , and knowledge translation . The internship involves a narrative review of the literature, qualitative analysis of focus group transcripts and ethnographic observation notes, and collaboration on an academic journal article. The WellHome study is a community-based research project in West London examining indoor and outdoor air pollution and its impact on asthma. The project has collected rich qualitative and environmental data, including participant feedback on personalised reports.
