Postdoctoral Scholar
for grant-funded research on
multimodal learning analytics
,
educational technology
,
artificial intelligence
,
cognition
, and
affect tracking
in educational contexts.
The project focuses on the impact of AI-driven learning technologies on learning outcomes, cognitive development, and mental health, with an emphasis on real-time tracking of learners. The lab’s work also includes neurodiversity and AI use, sensor-based research, and the development of replicable research protocols for data-driven EdTech research.
Ideal applicants will have expertise in one or more of the following: deployment of eye-trackers or fNIRS devices, end-to-end AI prototypes with LLM integration, backend development and interface design, research software development (e.g., Python packages, database systems), predictive/user modeling, measurement theory, high-frequency time-series analysis, or ecological momentary assessment (EMA) data. Interest in neurodivergent populations is also relevant.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Learning Sciences, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Informatics, Educational Measurement and Statistics, Educational Psychology, or a related field. Required qualifications include relevant scholarship in multimodal learning analytics, educational technology, and/or computational social science research, experience with research teams, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred qualifications include experiment design, data analytics or software development, supervising graduate students, project management, and writing funding applications.
