Assistant/Associate Professor Positions in Computer Science (Cyber Security, Networking, Theory)
The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, CA is accepting applications for two tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor positions in the Department of Computer Science. The department is especially interested in candidates with expertise in cyber security, networking, theory, or emerging areas of computer science. NPS students are primarily U.S. and international military officers seeking master’s degrees, U.S. civilians entering the Cyber Corps, and a few PhD students. The department specializes in artificial intelligence, cyber security, networking, modeling and simulation, and data science, with strong collaboration across military, civilian, and international partners. NPS is located in the technology hubs of San Francisco Bay Area and is well connected with the Department of Navy and U.S. defense agencies, offering ample applied research and funding opportunities.
Applicants must have a PhD in computer science or a related discipline, be U.S. citizens, and eligible for a U.S. Secret clearance. The application package should include a CV, names of three references, a sample of published work, and a cover letter discussing research goals, teaching interests, and capabilities. The appointment will be made at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on the candidate’s seniority and experience.
