Postdoctoral Researcher in AI/ML-native Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) for 6G Wireless Systems
The Hyper-Intelligent Telecommunications Laboratory at Hanbat National University, Daejeon, Republic of Korea, is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher to join advanced research initiatives in AI/ML-native Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) for 6G wireless systems. The research group focuses on the intersection of wireless communications, sensing, machine learning, and 6G standardization, with emphasis on algorithm development, protocol design, simulation frameworks, and implementation-driven research.
Research themes include algorithm development for the physical layer of AI-native ISAC, protocol design for next-generation ISAC frameworks, link-level/system-level simulation and performance evaluation, and software/hardware implementation using MATLAB, Python, and SDR/USRP platforms. The position is ideal for candidates with a Ph.D. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields, and a strong background in wireless communications, signal processing, machine learning, or ISAC research. Applicants should have a solid publication record and experience with simulation tools. Collaborative skills in multidisciplinary teams are essential, and experience in 3GPP standardization, 6G/ISAC research, or SDR implementation is advantageous.
The appointment term is initially 12–24 months, with possible extension based on performance. The salary ranges from KRW 40,000,000 to 50,000,000 per year, commensurate with experience and performance. Flexible onboarding is available, with a preferred start date in March 2026. Interested applicants should email Prof. Gosan Noh ([email protected]) with a CV (including publication list) and a 1–2 page research statement.
